Full title to this work is actually "Witness To Sorrow And Destruction"

This image seems to speak to many people… it certainly does to me. What I am trying to depict here is how the violence of this world steals the innocence of children and forever taints the sanctity of all things sacred. We live in a sick, twisted, heartbreaking world at times and it saddens me immensely. I try not to let it overwhelm me… but that is difficult when you are a human being with emotions and feelings. No wonder we all need psychological defenses…

This photomanipulation was done as my first entry for a new contest club here on Deviant Art called “Manipulate This”
I chose Challenge Number Three using the stock photos provided:

Very beautiful and emotional piece.

I thought this was a good image to use at this terrible time when so much of the world is in great need of prayer, especially Japan.
